Fugro Interlaboratory Testing Evaluation Programme (FITEP)

Join now!

Building on last year's success, we are relaunching our Interlaboratory Testing Evaluation Programme for 2024. The programme provides a unique opportunity for geotechnical soil laboratories to enhance the quality and reliability of test results and this year it’s expanding to include even more tests. By fostering collaboration and promoting consistency, our programme aims to elevate industry standards, bolster confidence in data, and drive continuous improvement in soil testing methodologies. By participating in this programme, your laboratory will comply with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.

Let's work together to elevate the precision of geotechnical soil testing.

Our programme focuses on total and effective stress testing of soils. When you express your interest in the programme, our team will provide you with additional information and a customised quote for the specific test(s) you wish to participate in.

Time is running out - deadline for applications is 20 November 2024

FITEP follows and adheres to ISO/IEC 17043, ensuring that the resources and process requirements are of the highest standards.

Type of schemes and samples

All participants will receive the relevant sample of sand and/or clay. They will then be required to submit test results in specific formats.

Final reports

Every laboratory will receive a report including all test results, with their own results highlighted. Confidentiality will be maintained as there will be no direct linking of test results to specific laboratories.
